Special free jam in the Rose Garden Park

Yes! The October 7 2018 jam will again be at the Rose Garden Park, because Hoover Middle School is unavailable that day.

Unfortunately because of Park rules we can no longer have a separate Snack Table in the shade, but will do our best to make do with one of the park's concrete tables, and/or a cooler. We'll provide bottled water. As usual, donations are most welcome!

There will be jamming in groups, as usual (but no Open Mic). We plan to offer a Slow Jam from 1:30 to 2:30, but we don't plan to have a Tune Builder circle until we return to Hoover in November.

Music Jam and Open Mike at Hoover School

Join us at the November jam at Hoover School for music indoors and out. Our usual format: multiple jam groups from 1-5, open-mike performances on stage in the Hoover multi-purpose room starting around 1:30 (no contest is planned this year) and the two learning groups: the Slow Jam group starting at about 1:30, and the Tune Builder group starting at about 2:00, each for an hour or so.

Music Jam and Open Mike at Hoover School, plus our Holiday Potluck

The SCVFA will hold its annual Holiday Potluck at the December 2 Jam. This is a great chance to meet some of the other members and their families. We will jam from 1:00 until 3:00 or so (with the usual Learning groups: the Slow Jam from 1:30 to 2:30 and the Tune Builder from around 2 to 3), and then start serving the meal.

The Fiddlers Association will provide two main meat dishes (ham and turkey), beverages and tableware. We ask that people who would like to participate bring a side dish (or dessert) to share, sized to serve 4 times the number in their group. (For example a couple should bring a dish that will serve 8 people.) If you want to participate but can't bring a dish, you can purchase a meal for a nominal fee.

If you can help, please contact President Susan Goodis, at president /at/ fiddlers.org
